Default Which tranny?

I got my full race kit along with my b20/vtec motor. trying to decide on what tranny to use. here is my set up.

99 B20 block
2001 ITR head (brand new!!)
GE sleeves
JE 9.0/1
Crower Rods
JG Intake manifold
Knife edged crank
Blue printed and balanced
Gator axles
Hondata s200b
F/R stage 2 turbo kit

I have a 99 si tranny with a quaife LSD. Id like to use that but i dont know if the gearing will be ok for the 1/4 mile. Should i get a different tranny?

sounds like you have the perfect tranny already. Short gearing and an lsd.

Your longblock sounds very similiar to mine, but I got 9.5:1 and I'm REALLY worried that my B16 tranny will wrap out to fast. The B20s R/S leaves me feeling unsafe about higher revs we'd need to keep from the 5th shift at the track. . . anyone else.

good info. I might have to raise the rev limit and run some tall slicks when the time comes.
