Traction Bars or LSD?
My buddy is thinking about getting either a traction bar or LSD. He isn't sure which one is better to get. (B16 drag turbo kit) I think they are equally important however if i was limited to budget i told him i would get an LSD over traction bar. My reasoning was to get power down to two wheels as opposed to the 1. Anyways he wants more opiniong is he can get any. So any feedback is appreciated.
thanks

Re: (TheShodan)
are OBX lsd's actually that good? I mean the price difference is almost 600 bucks... theres gotta be a catch. like they say you dont get anything for free in this world. He was thinking about getting an R tranny instead of buying a unit and having his entire tranny pulled apart and spend big $$$ to do so. If anyone has anymore info on that obx lsd that would be great.

Believe it or not they really isnt a catch. The early units had problems with axles sticking in them and not coming out but other then that they are good. You need to go over the unit and double check the torque on the bolts but that is about it.They have held up to about 5-600whp so far without any signs of failure.I would go OBX and get some traction bars from LSD motorsports [250ish] that is what i did and its a great setup for the money.

If you are on a budget, do the obx lsd, and build your own traction bars. I put my bars together for right at 100$. You can get the radius rods, jam nuts, and heim joints (high quality parts) from Speedway motors, or any other comparable company and just cut your end pieces out of 3/8" plate, and find some stout tubing for a crossbar...
Last year I made 325 mustang whp, and had a stock gsr trans and my traction bars helped traction quite a bit, and completely killed my wheel hop (which was previously horrible).
This year however, I have a gsr trans w/quaife and pg cradle to go w/my custom bars

If buying the obx LSD where can you get the torque specs?? 300 and some change isnt a bad investment on LSD. I dont mind turning a wrench on a new product for a cheaper price.

Re: obx LSD
wooww!!!
So, the obx lsd has held that long for u? I've seriously thought about buying the obx lsd, but common, it's made by OBX.
Nonetheless, i've heard some good things about the obx lsd through honda-tech
