Has anyone ever fabricated one? is it even possible to do a topmount log manifold for any D/B/H series motors?

basically was thinking to simply mount the turbo flange on the top, and the external wastegate flange on the bottom.

 

Maybe if you cut a hole in your hood....but good luck getting that to fit.

 

I don't mean on the very top of the manifold.

What's the point? It's still a log manifold.

Well then wouldn't it be more of a side mount ?

 

well absolutely "0" performance upgrade...Just thinking of a different design is all...want to be a little more unique I guess.

basically take this manifold and move the flange so it's facing (angle wise) towards the hood latch, and then move the WG flange down to the bottom.

There is another company out there that makes a different version of a log manifold, forgot the name off hand, but they also wanted like $600 for it.

 

My friend's log manifold on his KA24DE has the turbo and wastegate positioned as you said, turbo up, wastegate down.

 

Like an upside down ramhorn. I would buy one if it fit. Installing the turbo/DP would be real easy.

 

well if u want to be unique you chose the right car. it will be real unique with the turbo sticking out of the hood just put the bigH on it and the cops wont think nothing of it.

I found a local guy that builds manifolds that I am talking with to see what can be done about this design.

 

any time just sent me a pm im sure ill find something stupider to say good luck with the upside down log mani(seriously)
