Is this too much fuel??
I'm running an upgraded holly intank 255 (the 80 dollar one) and the airtex inline pump. 370CC injectors. fuel pressure is at about 42psi @ idle.
IAC problem fixed.. and now we tried to adjust the idle and for some reason the car idles at 700 rpm... wont idle high when it is cold... i have to step on the gas fora bit... but after it stableizes.. it's seems like its running very rich...
i have to go play with it and see if i can get it to idle better, but since i put the new IAC in the car seems to idle rough.. is this from too much fuel? and
do i need to remove the intank pump and just use the airtex... ditch the airtex?? or what??
degradated seems to think i need to remove the intank??

fool...you are running too much fuel like I told you. Hopefully some other people on here will agree with me. An aftermarket inline pump + an aftermarket intake is just overkill.
My advice is to replace the Holley intake with a stock intake, and it should be good to go. What do ya guys think?
How many pounds of boost with 370cc injectors will the stock intake and Airtex inline pump support?

After like 3 tries with the IAC valve, Jake finally bought a new one from Acura for $160
So we put that in today.....That thing pisses me off...coolant spilling all over the place, stupid clamps that don't want to go on, bolts that are almost impossible to thread and fit a wrench around. That is my least favorite thing to install, ever.

Maybe I'm retarded, but wouldn't 370CC injectors at 42psi be the same w/ a 255lph pump or a 2555 lph pump. I mean, it doesn't matter howmuch is being pumped (as long as the fpr can regulate it). Its the pressure and the size of the injectors that matters, right?
what I'm trying to say is: if your running rich, I dont think changin the pump will fix anything.

thats what i think sorta.. you can pump all the fuel you want to the fuel rail.. as long as you dont push it from the fuel rail in the injectors... by regulating it with a fpr.... so two 255's should put enough pressure if needed.. but be regulated by the fpr...
i dunno.. this is my newest search for knowledge...

If your running 370CCs you need to play w/ a fuel controller.......not take out a pump.
Also, worthy of noting: Jake has had several code 45s (system too lean or too rich)

i dont think taking out the intank will solve the problem.. What disk are u running in the FMU? possibly you could change that out and play with the fields controller
Hondas return lines cant flow but so much if u want to run a bigger new return line the problem will stop u got to think about it 2 big pumps in the same fuel line u moving a hell of a lot of fuel that your engine not using
at idle the FMU disk is not a question... i'm just worried about idle right now.. but like I said.. adjusting the fields less than -15% or greater than -15% the car starts to idle rougher.. so i found a happy medium, just have to figure out how to get it to idle better...
starting to come to the grim conclusion that a heavily modded car is not good for a daily street driver....

i am running 35psi as a base pressure with 310cc and my car runs fine. I think that 42psi is too much pressure with 370cc.
On the fuel pump i would just use the holley for now until you get your issues sorted out.

Anyone checked out his O2 sensor? At 42 psi with an AFC and 370s the car is running in closed loop and should be more than capable of pulling out enough fuel to idle stoich. unless the O2 sensor is bunged up. The number and type of pumps is irrelevant if he knows his idle fuel pressure is 42 and tried trimming fuel with the AFC.

can you lower your fuel pressure with the regulator? maybe u should give that a shot.. or break down and finally buy hondata and get rid of the FMU, inline, and fields..
