tire wideness for street...--> canīt decide, Iīm frustrated
What is the best dimension for handling and acceleration for street driving with 350whp on ITR. I will use Volk te37 rims, but before I order rims, I HAVE to know which dimension would be the best for my car.
Should I go for 205/45/16, 205/50/16 or 225/45/16??? 215/45/16 is out of question, not available here.
....or should I go for 215/40/17?
How wide should the rim be? For 205 7inch and for 215 or 225 7.5 or 8inch rims, right
Iīm now using 225/35/17 on 8.5x17inchers and Iīm not happy with the acceleration, too much tourqe steer. The car reacts under acceleration much better with 195/50/15 stock rims.
Please help me out, Iīm frustrated, cause I try to decide on rims and tires a 1/2 year now without any results

You should be much happier on a 7.5" wide rim; the 8.5 will put the tires' grip too far away from the point the suspension was designed for. 7.5" wide rims with 205 width tires can be a spectacular combination - you won't be throwing away any handling or traction.

I was thinking on putting the 225/45 on 8 inchers. So would it be better on 7.5incher, yes?!
and when using 205ish I should use 6.5inch or 7inch rims, right.
But what is now better, 205, 215 or 225 to get out the best performance?

225 i think is just out of the question
if you can find a 215/40/17 youd be loving life........
but typically all you will find is 205/40/17 this is the standard honda 17" tire set up
but with 350HP, you're gonna want something wider then 205 in my opinion

why is 225 out of question. My fenders are pulled already. 225/45/16 gets easy under my fenders.
215/40/17 is an standard dimension here in Europe, easy to get. But isīnt the sidewall of the 215/40 a bit to to low. Iīll have more wheel hoop on that than on 225/45/16, right?
