tire options and diamond racing wheels..
just trying to finalize some stuff for my 400-500 hp coupe build.
apparently falken doesnt make the azenis 615's in a 225/xx/15. what other options are out there for around the same price??
also for my slicks (24.5/8.5/15) my budget has decided on a diamond racing wheel. what backspacing should I look for on this for my eg chassis? somewhere around 5 inches?

as far as the street tires, you are kinda stuck with drag radials or i think bfg makes a regualr summer tire in that size. honestly i think you are better of with something like a 195/55/15 dunlop d1 star spec on the street. the 225/50/15 rubbed my fenders on bumps, had to raise the car up.

im using basset wheels in 15x8 5" backspace. had to add a 5mm spacer to clear my itr calipers. lots of inner clearance.

ive been using the bfg drag radials the past few years. last year i went through 2 sets, a 205/50/15 and a 225/50/15 (haha no im not always beating it i really drive my car like 15k miles a year)
those dunlops are good tires for putting down some power? even off the wastegate ill be around 330whp

from my understanding the stickiest street tires are the dunlop d1 star spec, bridgestone re-11, and toyo r1r.
my 225/50/15 bfg's are almost done too. i will be switching to the dunlops

my goodyear eagle gt hr's hooked pretty good. I have 205/50/15 Mickey Thomson Drag Radials and I couldnt be happier with my choice for ET street tire. Might try a 225/50/15 when they ware out.

Re: tire options and diamond racing wheels..
does bfg make the kdw2's in a 15" still, they were on a gsr i tuned a while ago and did well around 300whp..
i wonder how the 205 mt's compare to a 225 bfg. i guess im looking for something with the performance of a 225 bfg. they held fine for me on low boost, and would hook for the most part in 3rd gear and up on higher boost
