Now that I finally have my crx back with my ls/vtec turbo making a hell of a lot more power an any of my NA engines did over the years...(See sig, will be turning it up to 20psi in a few weeks) What size and type tires are you guys using on the street? Currently 16" 205 Kosei's w/ Yoko Parada Spec 2's... Good overall tires for cornering, but definitely not in a straight line!

My 1st/2nd gears are worthless in full boost... And I can definitely smoke through 3rd gear if I'm not feathering it right...

Any recommendations? What's a nice sticky tire that's not a full out "drag radial"...

I have 205/50/15 Goodyear eagle gt hr's. They were pretty grippy and not to mention they are a 75,000 mile tire.

 

So I guess I will have to increase my side walls... But I would prefer to stick with my 205/40/16's for a while, I've heard good and bad things about Goodyear Eagles...

Any recommendations for sticky low tread wear tires? (Circuit tires?) I don't drive the car more than once a week, so tread wear isn't a huge issue... What is everyone else's options?

There's always the falken Azenis 615's or the BFG G-force sport TA

 

boost by gear. no street tires are gonna hold up to what power youll make on 20lbs in a light *** crx. once you get it you'll never look back.

 

Any suggestions, I forgot about that option... Like a quad stage Turbo xs controller?

I'm runining the bfg kdw in 205/50/15 on 15psi with no problem...plus I got lsd so that makes a night and day difference.

 

I ran a mac solenoid with s300 for boost by gear. what engine management do you have?

 

I'm still on Hondata s200...

 

I have a JDM Y1 sitting in there with an LSD... Still works very well!
