Timing transition to high cam
After weird detonation issues on my jdm b16a, I noticed that the EDM/USDM low cam timing is retarded 3* from the high cam when above 11"hg of load. I decided to use that map as my base timing for turbo.
What are you all doing about the transition between the low cam and high cam timing? A 3* sudden jump makes it difficult to tune the VTEC crossover smoothly, but advancing the timing before VTEC would involve advancing it right at peak torque, which is also a no-no. Any ideas?
