Default Timing question...

My timing is set at 14 degrees at the moment. I'm going to be installing the Hondata soon and it will be tuned most likely next week. Should I set the timing back to 16 degrees?

Thanks

i believe with the Hondata the best thing to do is set the ignition timing to stock, 16 degrees BTDC, and coincide it with the Hondata unit so that everything can be controlled via the laptop. both the fuel and ignition maps etc. that way there isn't any need to change the timing throught the distributor or alter it from the stock setting. as long as the Hondata unit recognizes the distributor's setting then it's good to go.
