Default timing issues.

I posted a problem about a week ago about my timing being off. In order to get my timing to line up (16 degree's w/engine running) I have to advance my distributor all the way. Someone mentioned that my intake cam may be off by a tooth. Today I went to investigate and tis is what I found.
With the crank pulley lined up (white mark) to the pointer the exhaust cam looks to be dead on while the intake cam looks to be off a slight bit....Not enough to be a tooth off more like 1/4 of a tooth. If I skip a tooth on the intake cam I believe that the marks will then be even further off in the other direction.... If I turn the crank a bit until the cam marks line up exact the crank pulley white mark is about 1/8th of an inch to the left of the timing mark on the timing belt cover.....I have pics but not sure how to post them, i'll try doing that later. I can e-mail them if that helps any......
any idea's? does that seem ok?

i have had that problem before on a diffrent honda motor. go ahead and move the intake cam 1 tooth adv on the belt. then reset your base timing. I couldnt get that honda motor to line up for anything when i put a new timing belt, so i bit the bullet and rant it a tooth forward and it ran like normal. instead of that sluggish retarted feeling.

Can I e-mail you some pics I took today?
It's so close right now (except for the advanced dist) that I'm affraid that I'm going to be worse off by skipping a tooth on the intake cam.

I'm willing to give it a shot, but If I could get a second oppinion from you seeing the pics that would be great....

Uh, I wouldn't run it a tooth forward. Run it where it is supposed to be.

Is the head milled or the block decked at all?

No the head is not milled and the block is not decked....
How do I post pics? I have 4 pics that can explain this better.
2 are with th cam gears lined up, and the crank pulley off a little and two are with the crank pulley lined up and showing the cam gear off a tad....
With the crank pulled lined up to the white line, the exhaust sprocket is perfect, but the intake it tilted up (looking at it, the mark on the left is no more then 1/8th of a tooth off) slightly...
It's right in the middle, if I skip a tooth them it's way off, if I leave it then the intake is slightly off from the exhaust while the crank pulley is perfect. If I line the sprockets up so they are strait across (lines line up) then the white mark is about 1/8th - 1/10th of an inch to the left of the timing mark...I wish it was more obvious, but either way I go its not going to line up.....right now I believe it's the best that it's going to get.....any recomendations? Thanks so far.
