Re: (bigwig)
i dont see or hear any leaks and the box say .5 spring which is 7.25lbs and the turbo is a t3/t04b. When i first put kit on it said 7.25 on gauge then after a week or so its been steady at 5lbs on gauge.

Re: (japspec)
check your intercooler piping connectors.. if nothing is of the obvious..
you could have an exhaust leak through the manifold or vacuum leak..
to find a vacuum leak you can create a home made tester using home depot supplies and a bike pump... what you do is ... take off the filter on the turbo and cap it off, have a fitting on there so you can connect your bike pump to it.. then pump away.. that's how i found my leak... actually my leak was so bad i had to use a air compressor.. i finally found the leak through my EGR system..
here's a list
2" cap with a fitting on top
2-3 feet of vacuum hose
another fitting connected to the end of the hose
bike pump clamped on to the fitting on the end of the hose..
very useful if you have any leaks in the future..

this is probably your most likely culprit, if not this then check the fittings on your boost gauge for a leak.

Thats usefule thanks. I do have a hole in my manifold for a egt probe but i have it blocked up with a bolt im wondering if that is the cause and if so what would be a proper bolt or fitting to use to block off hole for egt so it wont leak.

Did you just screw a bolt into your manifold?? Is there a fitting where the hole is? Also with your car parked and revving it can you hear/see exhaust leaking from the hole??

Happened to me twice, I went to 9psi and was pissed at how slow it was. The other the whole wastegate just backed out on me. Now i keep the right size wrench in my car.

Re: (HybridcivicLS-T)
Is it a mechanical or electronic gauge?
Where is your boost gauge source at? The Intake manifold or at the compressor itself?
Pressure at the manifold will be different than pressure before the intercooler ...

electrical gauge and boost is reading from manifold.

Re: (japspec)
or u can quickly hook up your boost guage to your intake mani if u have it on the compressor housing.. this will tell u if its piping leak.. i think
the other guys are right though.. that vac thing is pretty good idea if u dont have a fogger... muahah

yea unhook it if it boosts over 5 psi then the wastegate is faulty. if it does not then there is a boost leak.

yo, champ, before someone blames you for a blown engine. if you pull the wastegate hoses from the gate. it shouldnt open.

yea, sorry man, i mean just drive it easy, boost up very slow. one you see it go over 5 just let off. dont hammer it. i should of clarified sorry.
