Default tial problems, (posting for a buddy)

the ring is set inside the wg. started the car to make sure i didnt have any exhaust leaks at all. well it sounds as if i have a bad exhaust leak and its coming from the wg?? you can feel the pressure coming out the wg, high pressure at that... there are no pressure lines hooked up to it or is the dump tube on there yet. any ideas???

if its leaking just there at idle then theres definitely a problem...it shouldnt matter whether or not any vacume lines are hooked up to it yet or not.

make sure the ring is in the right way (the tapered side up into the wastegate)...if its right and its all tight and it still leaks then his flange is more then likely warped and he will need to get a new one welded on or get that one surfaced down flat.

also, dont use the tial gaskets that came with it. they end up blowing. i have ran without a gasket for a few months now, no problems... yet (knock on wood)
