Default Tial came today!!! installing now

Just got my tial wastegate in (35mm with .45bar spring in it). Is there anything I should do with the wg before install? Also I got 2 gaskets, should I use one for my elbow to the atmosphere and the other to the manifold, or just 1 for the elbow?

you may not want to use the gasket with the tial, unless you get the one from turbonetics..
the one that came with tial will burnt up in a few hours....

I don;t have any gasket on mine, and it never leaks, the carbon build up from the exhaust will seals it up..

Agreed, my 35mm tial always blew out the gaskets, I had better luck without one.

I'm mad, the tial does NOT fit under the hood the way my manifold is setup... I don't know how to explain this good.... But the deltagate was mounted onto the manifold by 2 flanges that directed it so the small 90degree elbow would point down nicely onto the AC. There was an indentation on the framing of the hood so that the delta actually fit. Now the tial is a smidge bigger, just big enough that I CANNOT mount it onto that double flange setup so that it points to the side.... so right now the tial is mounted STRAIGHT onto the manifold and it dumps straight onto a big *** hose on the radiator and the rad a little itself.... I don't like the setup but I don't have any real options

Well I put it like how the delta was, but cut a big chunk of hood frame out so it would fit period.... anyone else have to do this with a teg and revhard manifold?

Just buy the adapter elbow, or you can get two deltagate flanges and a 90 degree mandrel elbow and have it welded for about half the price.

if only I had known, instead it sits as is with a nice chunk of hood frame missing... oh well I take it as a sacrifice that had to be made for power... like there aren't enough of them

Oh well enough bitching from me...

The differences from delta to new tial are:
1. Turbo spools a little quicker... HOORAY!!!!!
2. NO GOD DAMN F-ING CREEP!!!!!!
3. Boost hits instantly when I hear spool... no 5.. 4...3...2... pull, more like ::whine noise:: then pull no more waiting...

I love it and tial was definatly worth the investment, I would recommend it to anyone.
