Default Tial blow off valve problems

Hey, just installed my peakboost kit, runs awesome and pulls hard, My blow off valve though is getting sucked 1/2 open at idle though. This is on a built b20/vtec. The Bov is closed when the car is off but as soon as i start it, you can watch the BOV open as the vacuum builds. I am also getting a little bit of compressor surge when no at WOT and letting off. I'm running about 12psi on a t3/tO4E. Anyone else using a different spring? How do I fix my problem?

What spring are you using? Here is the chart from tial:

Engine Vacuum Reading...........Use Spring

- 22 and -23 in/Hg................-12 Psi (-24 in/Hg )
-18 and -21 in/Hg.................-11 Psi (-22 in/Hg )
- 14 and -17 in/Hg................-9 Psi (-18 in/Hg )
-10 and -13 in/Hg.................-7 Psi (-14 in/Hg )

match the vacuum ur car pulls at idle to the correct spring

its normal for it to be open at idle, as for youy getting compressor surge, does it have a good vacuum source? Also the tials arent adjustable without changing the spring but i think you'll be fine with a little surge it never hurt anyone

Yeah I know I'm the n00b, but wouldn't spending $200 on a BOV and still have compressor surge defeat the whole purpose of it?
