Yes you can. The 35mm and 38mm use the same springs.

You can use big and small springs combined in both the 35mm and 38mm...

just remember, when you put a bigger spring in the 35mm, the psi will be a bit higher, check out tial website, it will tell you how much higher it be

Thanks a lot. Which diameter is it that makes it a 35mm and not a 38mm?

It's the valve diameter.

Would it be benefical to install the biggest wastegate possable? Assuming you used the correct wastegate spring

Get the wastegate that fits your power goals and budget. Bigger isn't always better.

The thing is in my situation I was sold a 35mm wastegate so I thought. When I recieved it I sent the part # to Tial tech support and they told me it's a 38mm So now I'm all fucked up. I was supposed to be boosting 9.43 psi But now its going to be only 7.??.

Well lets assume that the price doesn't matter. Why wouldn't a largier wastegate be benefical? I forgot the problem that occurs due to a small wastegate but something about boost creep or some ****

I am building a turbo kit, so I am kindof looking for answers in my situation.

Like ben@importparts said. You should look into how much power you are looking to make and base your purchase on that number. For instance you wont need a 44mm wastegate for 300whp thats a complete overkill

chose your wastegate on how your gonna use it. if you have a big turbo and are trying to run low boost then your gonna need a big wastegate that can bleed all those exhuast gasses away from the turbo. if your gonna run alot of boost then you can get away with a smaller wastegate since most of the exhuast gas will be going through the turbo and not the wastegate. it also depends on which manifold you have and the placement of the wastegate.
