Default Tial 35mm question

Hey, I have a tial 35mm and I was wondering what psi am I running? At one pt I saw my psi gauge run something around 9psi before I let off the petal. Is there something wrong with my tial wastegate b/c I thought tial 35mm was around 5-6psi? How do I fix this, thanks.

The tial wastegates come with a lot of different spring pressure rates so it could really be any spring pressure.

If you bought the gate brand new it usually seas on the box what spring pressure rate it is or you could check and see with the people you ordered it from.

Also just one more thing if you are looking to run 5-6psi and you have a 9psi spring or whatever a boost controller is not your answer sense boost controllers can only controll boost from whatever psi spring you got and on up, so what I"m trying to say is basicly you can't go lower than what your spring in the wastegate is at ...

what kind of boost gauge? there are different springs availabe for the Tial. mine is a .45bar so around 6.5psi. you may have the one thats around 9psi or your boost gauge is poop.

I have a Tial 35mm Wastegate and I would like to know if it is normal for the wastegate to open/dump while revving the car in neutral. When I continuously rev my car high up in the rev band with the vehicle in neutral the wastegate opens/dumps exhaust gases. How can I stop this? My Tial came with a .45bar spring. Also, when I put on my boost controller it doesn't really happen....just a little.

I was going to say "get a boost controller to stop the dump", but you have one. That is the way to do it, attach your controller and it will almost completely stop the exhaust release until the desired psi.

But this is happenning when the car is in neutral at a stand still. I guy told me I need to adjust the spring on the Tial. Should I or should I use the boost controller only?

You shouldn't do that to your engine, it's not good for it. Not revving it up high in neutral will also fix your wg problem
