Teflon tape on oil is a bad idea. Oil breaks the teflon down after a while and you'll have leaks. We use this blue stuff called "Leak Lock" on all our diesel fuel lines for our oil fired boilers and hot water heaters. I used it on all my oil fittings and fuel line fitting for my fuel rail too. No leaks. Stuff works great.
