Default Lucas Oil Stabilizer

Anybody use Lucas Oil Stabilizer? I've heard its good for your motor and that it's not. what do you guys say?

i havent used it, but the people that came into my store and bought that stuff saying its great and everything were usually the big v8 guys......that stuff may be too much for a 4 cyl, if you're going to try it, id use about half of it...thats just me though!

It wouldn't really be worth it considering they rebuild the engine after every pass.

The conclusion to me looks like the Lucas oil stabilizer causes foaming of the oil and reduces the tendancy to cling to gears, which increases start-up wear. The moral of the story is, spend your money on good oil to begin with, don't try to use additives as a bandaid for poor lubricants. Notice how the Schaeffers oil on the left did everything it was supposed to without any additives...
