Default For those using: pushers

those using pusher fans in front of the radiator and a/c condesor..any problems overheating while idling in the summer? I live in so-cal and the temps get to 100.

Also what do you think if i get a puller for the radiator and pusher for a/c condensor?? will this work out ok? trying get much room as possible between turbo and radiator..using a 38mm fluidyne.

You won't ahve any problems overheating w/ a pudher style fan. As long as you get one that flows good. And yes, you can run puller for radiator and pusher for A/C condensor.

I just finished doing a dual pusher conversion on a 00 Si for a friend of mine. It's pretty easy as long as you take the time to do it right and make sure everything mounts up as you want it.

I cut the stock plugs off of the stock fans, and as far as wiring goes, just cross the black and the blue wires. Pretty simple. Make sure to either wire loom or heatshrink all of the wires going to the fans and you will be good to go.

Anyone ever thought about putting a puller behind the intercooler? If space permitted it.

I think that would be pointless because honda's use a front mounter intercooler, and at idle we don't create boost..on the other hand the mr2's have a side mount so a puller would help for them.

I have used a pusher here in Houston for two summers now, no problems.
They have a nice 12" at Jegs I bought. Flows 1200CFM, the most I have found at this size.
The only problem I had with this fan was which way to mount the blades. It can be pusher or puller.
