i've been thinking of adding a 3" vband cat. i want to reduce the cabin noise and fumes.

who has done this and is it worth it?

 

I've had one sitting on my parts shelf for 3 years now...I planned on installing it, but never got around to it....anyone want to buy it?

I just checked ebay, a carsound 3" cat is going for $60 free shipping. I'd have to have $50 plus shipping, so you might as well get one on ebay.

BTW, you will have to have your v bands welded on.

 

anybody have a guess on power losses?

 

My guess is that after a proper retune, the losses would be in the 5-10 whp range if that.

 

since we are in the FI forum, would that be 5-10 whp on say a 400 hp car? I see it being more than that
