Default Thicker headgasket on my D series?

I plan to run 10-12 psi on my D15b vtec engine. Fuel management will be 450's with AFC. Should I run a thicker headgasket to be safe? Stock compression is 9.2:1 If so what thickness should I use? I was thinking .078" which = 2mm, the same thickness as a greddy headgasket which is used to lower the comp.

I wouldn't bother unless your motor is apart at this time and you need a headgasket regardless. Stock headgaskets are proven and if it's running good now I'd stick with it and boost away. Pulling the head off and replacing the gasket now when not needed just makes one more link in the chain that can go!

Engine is out, waiting to be swapped in. I was thinking of just doing it while it was out. Worth while Precaution?

I still got my stock head gasket :-) on my jdm d15b in my sol. I've beating the crap out of that motor and still have 207+ compression on all 4. I think mine is a 1991, whats the compression do you have? You can do a compression test with the motor out if you hook it up to the tranny and jump the starter.

keep stock headgasket. no reason to change out unless, the block and head is apart. plus more of a headache if something goes wrong b/c u took it apart with having to.

i run 10 psi on Hondata everyday. 250whp...can't say stock gasket sucks
