Default thicker headgasket

hey guys just wondering where i can get a thicker headgasket for my ls-turbo??? this is a noob question but does it really lower the compretion ratio if i go to a thicker headgasket??

golden eagle makes them, but u dont need it, ur motor is low 9:5 if ur gonna change it u mind as well build the motor up.

Cometic also makes one. Stock is .030" for every .040" thicker your comp will be lowered by 1 cr. But if your cr is 9.5:1, I agree with not getting one. A build ls block would be better imo. If you're on a budget, maybe some tuner toys rods and shop around ebay for some pistons (9:1 cr seems to work really well for most). GL.
