Default are these sleeves worth it, need advice

theres a guy going to sell me darton for a b16 there stock bore.are these worth 200 and are there hard to put in.also if you have had these how much did you pay for them and labor.

there not like these there just round

well ur not gonna put them in urself lol.... a machiene shop is gonna have to do it.... engine has to come out of the car and pretty much get fully striped down for thos process... sleeving usually costs around a $1000

i aready have a block and but heres what they look like. also it cost 1000 to get sleeves to get put in.

not worth it for 1200...just ship ur block to earl and he will get the sleeving and machining done with benson sleeves for 1050 US

not a bad deal with the cost of the sleaves

i would still rather deal with benson just for the fact that they got excellent service and support and i have never heard any horror stories about benson sleeves

its $800 to sleeve a block with darton sleeves at rs machines.
this includes the sleeves, deck block and bore and hone to what ever size you want

at rs machines its 800 installed with deck/resurface block, and bore and hone
most places like aebs, bensons , ge are about $1000

they are the darton mid kit. they are a good set of sleeves because if you scar one of the cylinders they can just push out that sleeve and put a new one in. with other sleeves if you scar one you replace them all.

and my vote goes to erl performance. they are a little more pricey but the quality of the work is outstanding. give sean a call. 812-948-8484

Darton makes a real nice set up!

shameless plug, but if anyone is looking for a set of B16 Darton 83mm sleeves PM me, i bought them and ended up going a different route so they are sitting in a box in my bedroom.
