Thermal Exhaust Silencer.... Anyone use it?
Thermal R&D offers to weld in a silencer (free of charge) which will reduce noise in its 3" turbo exhaust system. I'm thinking of getting this done, b/c the drone is just too much for me. Has anyone gotten this on their 3" exhaust? How does it sound? Also, I'm curious how much the silencer inhibits flow. I'm looking to eventually push 300-350whp... will the silenced Thermal be able to keep up?

my buddy put it on his... at WOT it was still loud, but helped to silence it ALOT (I would say about 15dB) at cruising speeds.
EDIT: And he had a JRSC w/ Kamikaze header and 3" Carsound cat too..

that's cool, with the turbo mine should be a little quieter too. i don't mind it loud at wot, just at normal cruising, i.e. road trips. it feels like i've been at a concert after a long trip with my current setup.

The diffuser the weld in the muffler doesn't affect flow much if at all. It quiets the exhaust without affect performance so I would recommend it. The diffuser option is always free whether you're ordering a new one or already have one. PM or email me if you have any questions.

Very cool, I'm definitly gonna get it done then. The place I ordered it from (paid alot more than I should have) didn't offer the silencer.
