Default is their a trick to getting precision injectors to fit??? (searched)

i got a jdm b16a, obd1. and a set of precision 440cc inj. i searched and found out how to get them to plug in (cut out tab) but i cant get them to fit into the im. if i put the oem seals on them they will go in but the sit up about a 1/4 inch to high. basically the metal tip is too big to fit through the hole in the im. is it not supposed to go through and fit like the oem inj???? please help.

you have to bore out the inside of the seals that go in the intake manifold.

i usually put them in a 16 or 17mm socket (whichever one they fit in) and take a dremel and go around the inside of the seal for a minute. remember to take little bits at a time, it real easy to take too much off and have it leak. the whole process will take maybe 15 min and once you do it, it will be easy to do again

I have Siemens Deka injectors, a bit different, but the same diameter reqs as DSM's and other aftermarket injectors. I got some Viton rubber tubing from mcmaster, slipped it onto a socket, and cut my own. I've been meaning to take the extra and make a load of kits, but other things are of importance atm.

i had that same problem.

the guy i bought it from called up precision, and found out that ob1's need the "mitsubishi" style injectors for a drop in fit.

hope that helps
