Will installing a test pipe on my 99 Accord Turbo with 8psi be worth it?

You're better off getting a high flow cat. There's a bunch of downsides to a straight pipe, and the hp gains are minimal over a cat. With a straight pipe, it'll sound bad, smell bad, and make it troublesome when smog time comes or when you get pulled over. For purely horsepower, a test pipe is worth it. BTW I got a carsound cat for sale!

HP gains are minimal eh? The butt dyno says otherwise.

you could go over to team-integra.net and see one of the posts about this. A test pipe doesnt have much more flow than a 3" car sound cat at all.

Not like I don't beleive in cats or anything;

But I really, really like the smell of un-processed gasoline. Burning race gas just smells yummy

I was running rich with my carsound and it turned into a test pipe. All the packing and screen shot out my exhaust and got stuck behind the silencer.

Run a test pipe if you have no SMOG testing. With the turbo exhaust you want the least amount of restriction as possible to decrease spool time and increase power.

300cfm vs 418cfm of a test pipe. Not much of a difference? Okay do whatever you want but numbers don't lie.

test pipe all the way,

spools faster, flow more exhaust, and more hp

down falls is it is a louder, if you put a cat in it and run really rich it will burn it up
