yup...the a/f is going to fluctuate a bit at idle. You want around 14.7 and as lean as 15.3 will work as well.

Ahh..good point...with the OBD2 setups, the a/f ratio sweeps back and forth until it finds 14.7

I believe 14.7:1 is optimal for a ratio of power to fuel consumed. The reason the computer seeks 14.7:1 is that the narrowband can only really read 14.7:1. In the range of 16:1 will probably give you the cleanest emissions.
