Ummmmm, how the hell was I suppose to know it would be cheap? Everything looked nice until I got it. Who would think an intercooler would snap? I have never done anything half assed in my life, and since you apperently know me you should know that. Dont post replies in my posts anymore............

 

id say it came like that in the mail.....then tell them you want a refund. i hope you didnt pay much for it, sorry.

Interesting metallurgical issue. Just for the sake of discussion... Are the end tanks cast Al? Including the nipple? Did they weld a cast nipple to the cast endtanks?

If they are stamped sheet and welded, things are usually very ductile and would just bend, not fracture...... Its hard to tell from the photo how they were manufactured.

 

The fact he assumes I bought cheap parts on purpose is what upsets me. He is probably some punk from my town that I talked to once and dont even know his name! I STILL say dont post replies in my thread!

You'll get a bigger outlet, better material, and a shiny pepsi logo

 

LOL! Can it be mountain dew? I like the green can better. The people I bought the intercooler from emailed me and it looks like they might help. We will see.

The end tanks look like they are cast. Like almost any other endtank... Except this one broke.

 

That sucks dude. Did you ever get a hondata ecu?

 

I didnt get a Hondata I bought a chipped ECU that will be tuned soon if I ever get this thing running!

There is nothing wrong with hondata. As a matter of fact I think that most people like hondata. I just didnt have $425 to spend and the hundreds more on tuning. So I get a kick *** deal on a chipped ECU.

Spark is on this board, maybe they will see this thread and help you out by standing behind their products

 

I PM'd Spark and asked them if they actually produce the intercooler I got.

Wow...that sucks. Fixed free of charge though...not bad. Definitely a lot better than some companies that I've dealt with in the past.

i'm glad you voiced your opinion so I didn't waste my money helping your business.

I find it funny when vendors jump in the name-game. What do you have to say now that Anthony (spark racing) is gonna replace it for free? maybe they do get them from out of country, but atleast he stands be what he sells.
