T3 turbo Spools but doesnt go?
Here is my problem. I have a b18b and a t3 turbo on it. In the low rpms when I give it gas it doesnt go anywhere but it sounds like its spooling like crazy(Loud), but when I give it full throttle it goes after a terriblew transition. Any ideas what is wrong? 6 pounds of boost.It works fine abouve 4000 rpms. I would expect this from a biger turbo but a t3?

Sounds like a fuel issue to me. What's your fuel setup? I'm running filetofit's maplimiter and 450 DSM injectors, with no blue box... Sometimes at part throttle, I can build boost but the car is very "laggy" and my A/F guage goes dead lean for just a second. This only happens when I give just enough throttle to reach 5-6 psi. At full throttle this never happens. My condition is not consistent, and sounds like it's not nearly as bad as yours (mine is OBD2 btw...). Anyone wanna speculate why this is happening?

what type of WG are u running? If its external and its not opening..you might have to rerun your vacime line

alotta pple here would say the delta sucks and to ditch it and get a tial but i dont have any personal experience there. you have the gauge right? can you take pic of your setup and connections?

i think its really not fully spooled.. prolly its turbo lag.. and most likely its bad fuel curve...i have that on my civic.... that FMU **** doesnt work very well.. maybe a bad manifold to collector design...

I agree with fsp 31- it's most likely a fuel issue... no way a T3 is going to be that laggy on a B18b. Do you have an A/F monitor? I'm guessing that you're running either way too rich or way too lean at tip in / low throttle...

Its a 12-1 fmu and stock injectors with an inline pump. How would this be way rich or way lean in the low rpms?

Might be a leak in your charge pipes. Had the same problem. Turbo would spools but would go into boost. Found out the next morning ,that I blew off one of my charge pipes.

So @ 2psi (example psi @ low rpms), you already have an extra 24psi of fuel pressure on top of your base pressure. Too much fuel can "extinguish" the combustion, hence the low output relative to boost pressure.
Easiest way to find out is to dyno tune with a wideband O2. You'll definitely find out if it's rich or lean throughout your powerband.

i'm having the same problem turbo spool but not go anywhere feels lacky and boggling 3000rpm under feels like hiting breack wall sometimes.
could it be the injectors too, i have rc 440cc do they go bad quick? didn't have them for that long.
