Question about upgrading my t3 turbo..
I currently have a Airesearch T3 turbo .48 exhaust and I think .42 intake.. This is on a stock D16Y7 motor with an aem ems and 450cc injectors and a street imports large intercooler..
My question is I see that Airesearch sells a kit to upgrade to a T3T4 hybrid turbo.. Would I see any more gains out of this or is it better to just stick with the T3 setup..
Also does anyone know how hard it is to rebuild a turbo.. Mine is just starting to leak a little oil into the compressor assembly and I want to rebuild it, figured I might do the T3T4 upgrade while I have it apart...

turn the boost up. I have a Saab (Garrett) T3 .48 on my B18B in the CRX, and it is still doing fine at 7psi. I plan on using it until I'm pushing 14-18psi or so, at which point I'd start shopping for a larger turbo. I like throttle response (7psi in < half a second in 5th gear) so I probably am going to be a dissenting opinion from the honda-retarded consensus that anything other than a T3/T4 sucks.

Re: (blundar)
Well I haven't ran into a situation where my t3 has ran out of steam and im up to 6.5 psi.. Probably will go up to 10 psi or so, so ill have to see how it works out at that boost level..
