Default T3 Turbo - $1800

I have an opportunity to buy a T3 turbo for 1800 bucks. What do you guys think? Is it worth it? It doesn't have any of the piping though. How much will all the piping cost?

Thanks!

umm
theres a lot more to a turbo than just the turbo and piping.

EDIT:
now thats a different story. that has the manifold, intercooler, bov, and other stuff. that still sounds a wee bit too high to me for used parts... i dono dude.

HAHAHA... if you buy that, I have some swamp land you might want to buy off me too !

$1800 for just the turbo ? USED ??? Even the turbo *BRAND NEW* with a *NEW* manifold... still would be overpriced. Is there an intercooler included ? Wastegate ? Otherwise $1800 sounds mega high.

Heh heh... I don't really want to open a user account to view a parts list.

If you read my post properly, it may be a bit smart assed, but it has some info you were asking for, so before you jump... read.. And when you look for advice... K.M.A.

Oops, I feel stupid....I'm kinda new at all this stuff....here is the post from the other site:

"I have up for sale a complete turbo kit that can be for ANY honda or Acura with a b-series motor in it. I pieced this kit together for quite a while with only the best parts, but now my car is only a track car so I have no use for it.

This kit includes A HUGE Starion Front mount Intercooler (as big as you can stuff in your car!!) A T3 Garret (AiResearch) turbo, a Greddy Type-S B.O.V., an HKS racing Turbo manifold that wil fit any b-series motor, and a brand new Vortech 12:1 FMU. Everything in this kit is unopened either in plastic or factory boxes except for the turbo and the Intercooler, I tested the turbo and it has NO shaft wobble, and it is in AWESOME shape!!! the only parts you would need to put this on your car would be the pipes for this kit. If you already have them, great save on this VERY NICE kit, if not than Turbo Performance has agreed to make the buyer custom pipes for whatever car he wants for just $300 (that includes downpipe, charge pipe W/ bov flange and all IC related piping). When the actual buyer contacts me I will give him the info they need to contact Turbo performance and get their pipes made. This kit will easily boost 12 lbs. all day which is more than most people run on stock internals and pump gas! and close to 20lbs at a track with correct fuel and tuning. The picture is of the kit you will be recieving except for the autometer gauges and the MSD BTM (they have already been sold previously) and the brown box everything is sitting on is the I.C. This kit will boost better than a drag or even a revhard kit, but yet it will cost you much less ($500 off of a used kit and up to $1500 off of a new kit), so you can build up your bottom end with the money you saved and boost much more than the person that paid almost 3 grand for a kit with less power! (again serious inquiries only) No deadbeat bidders please I have already had like 3 people try to buy it but had no money. I accept paypal, credit cards through paypal, or postal money order. Payment needs to be recieved before the kit will be shipped, but once payment is recieved, kit will be shipped (at buyers expense) that day or the following business day and tracking number will be provided to the buyer. A starion I/C is not HUGE unless it is modified (cut and welded to another starion I/C. A T3 will not produce more power than a Drag III or Revhard kit as they bring a T3/t4 hybrid, which can boost more than a straight T3. $1800 for the turbo, I/C, BOV and an FMU ? Turbo new: $500 Starion I/C: $300 BOV (new) of your choice: $250 FMU new: $200 That's all new except for the I/C, which you can get at a junkyard: $1250 and that $1800 does not include a wastegate or piping AND the turbo and I/C are used ?? Doesn't really sound like any kinda deal to me.

this guy is posting this kit everywhere.. i saw this ad somewheres else too, I think on thepartstrader.com, its a joke... dont waste your money or your time, he wont even bother to answer questions about the A/R or trim or anything, and for 1800 bux, u could piece all that together yourself, and still have money left to buy all the extra goodies!
