Depends on your ultimate goals, but i would personally go with 57 trim .63 a/r. Its a relatively quick spool, that will not die up top. If your looking into a more mild setup than maybe a 57 trim with .48 a/r= quick spool Hope that helps

Im running the sc34 57 trim on my Ls currently. It was spooling around 4300 the other day, but found out i had a tiny exhuast leak I fixed that and it now spools around 3900 . On a gsr motor if you planned on building motor now or later i would go with the sc61 It has a great potential, if im not mistaken it's average spool is around 4400-4500(someone correct me if im wrong), but pulls like a **** all the way up the power band.

Like i said earlier your decision on which turbo will depend on your goal with your car. Give us more detaisl of your plans

well the plan is daily driven b18c with b16 head, with about a 10:1 compression to try and reach near 300whp at only 8lbs of boost on stock sleeves, ITR206 made 296whp at 8lbs, so i figure i can do the same, car will be tunned by hondata, im here in cali with 91 octane tho and seems that people running 10:1 compression and boosting want to use race gas all the time. so im having a hard time picking a turbo , will the sc61 lag alot on the b18c? and which A/R would be recommend for it

ive been thread jacked!!nah its cool we can share.my goals are mostly stock ls i want forged pistons later on down the line, but even then i dont want to see more than 17 psi.the motor will mostly be run at 8-10 psi maybe a little more, and im lookin for about 275 hp with 8-10 psi hopefully i can get some nice numbers like i see some of the other stock ls motors doing.
with these goals in mind what turbo would u reccomend??oh and i would like to reach full boost at atleast by3700-4000 rpm

if that's the case....57 trim .63 a/r. that's what i've got and it's a great street turbo. spool at 3k and full by 4-4.5k

for an ls, i would go with the 50 trim, .63 a/r, early spool and it won't die out up top like it would on a higher reving b18c motor

but would the 57 trim produce more horsepower at the same boost compared to the 57 trim?

I'd think it would produce the same power

You'd really have to look at the compression maps to compare different turbos. Do they still make the 54 trim turbo?
