Which T3/T40E trim? ( I know this has been beaten to death but still not sure)
I have a 95 GSR with 10/0/1 compression forged pistons. Stock rods, stock sleeves. Looking for around daily drive 9psi with occasional 11-12psi, whatever vafc hack will let me get to.
Want a tuboo that spools completly by 4-5k rpms and could handle the boost if I decide to do up the rods and sleeves and up the boost. Most likely 300whp is my goal.
I'm getting the turbo from cheapturbo.com don't post about GO PRECISION, I know they good I just don't have that kind of cash right now. My power goals really don't require it.
Should i get a T3/T40e with:
50 trim .63 a/r turbine.
60 trim .63 a/r turbine.
Or would one of those T3 60-1 be better?
Thanks!!

The 50 trim will get you too your goals, and have the capability for more power down the road.
Full spool should be around 4000.
Full spool should be around 4000.

Get 63 Exhaust Housing, 50 trim compressor w/ .50 AR. Should produce around 290-300 hp and you'll have decent spool - depends on what you're going for.

It all depends on how much boost your going to run
T04E .46 trim will be more efficient for a stock LS motor from 5 to 13psi.
T04E .50 trim will work but it'll be more efficient when you upgrade the head & cams. It is basically a T04E .60 trim with less surge and enough to feed a 1.9L vtec at 8000rpm.

Re: Which T3/T40E trim? (Quick 200k Mile Motor)
can I get another confirmation or two please...
So T3/T4OE 50 trim .63turbine is good for GSR with Stock sleeves, stock rods, Forged pistons, stage one crower vtec cams? Whats estimation on when it will spool up?

Damn guys, other bullshit posts like "my horespower rant" and "bad to boost more that 15-20 seconds" get more more posts to it than mine and I really have a question.
Doesn't anyone want to chime in?
Some help this board is turning out to be.

1. quit crying when you're asking a question that has been posted MANY MANY times before. Search. This board is full of plenty of information.
2. I have a .48 trim t3/t04e with a .60 a/r and I think it's great for my Application. 9.0 CR on a Stock LS motor. The boost starts at 3200. Full boost at 4300. 3" Downpipe helps alot with the spool time. There's still alot of power to be made up top as well. I'm only running 8psi. A .50 trim .63 a/r would be just as similar with more top end yet more lag.

No one knows excatly what is going to happen to a car, even where you live can make a differnce in a turbo performance, air density, humidy an whatever elements are in your face, when no one responce it means no one really knows for a fact... Your asking a question that is not easy to anwser hypothetical questions are just guess anwsers... trial an error! but the .50 sounds smaller so i think youll get your goal but you know if you want 300whp eh who knows...

Re: Which T3/T40E trim?
Yes, these questions can be very complicated believe or not
since there are many conditions to go by.
The experienced guys don't want to answer these kind of questions because they usually follow what the people normally go with. Ask around, or solve it mathematically and plot on maps.
Best compressor is one that:
(1) at least matches the displacement of your motor
(2) is efficient under most of the conditions where you drive
Best of all compromises
