Hey all, I'm currently looking into piecing together a turbo kit, and a good friend of mine is willing to sell me an old Datsun/Nissan t3 turbo for $50.00. Has no shaft play and looks to be in pretty good condition. How can I tell what type of t3 it is, and would it be suitable for a homemade boosted SOHC non-Vtec ZC setup?

What's the A/R, and some pics would help.

 

I'm a total noob to turbo setups so I have no idea what the A/R is. I'll try to get some pictures up by tomorrow or so though. Is there any way to tell what the A/R is externally? (stampings/etc). The t3 was from his Datsun turbo Z parts car. No idea what trim Z it was though.
