Default swap motor or boost what i got???

hey guys...i have a low mileage B16A2 block, with a low mileage gsr head on it...i know, its a funny hybrid but its what i got...

now should i drop 1200 bucks or whatever on a low (7) psi turbo or should i swap the block to a gsr and then have no money left???

it seems like both routes cost the same amount...which will i be more pleased with??

by the way, my goals are just to have a fast and dependable car that can maybe run 13's on the weekends...

on this next question, i know you guys will say search, but with my funny hybrid i dont know which is best...
if the turbo is the way to go, then which should i choose with this setup that will be relatively inexpensive but VERY RELIABLE...i dont mind spending a little more to get more reliability...thanks for the help guys

your not going to be able to turbo your car for 1200 bucks better off just getting the gsr block and then saving for a turbo

well you know, not exactly 1200 bucks, but i mean i think swapping the block and slapping on a turbo would be roughly close in price???

correct me if im wrong please....

also, this is in a 98 GSR...

if i swap the block i would probably just swap in like a bigger B20 block and then buildup NA...

what to do...what to do...

mot easy for $1200 but it can be done. your fine with the b16 block the gains would be 1/10th of the power youd get from turbo. just so you know manufactors kits like drag and revhard around $2,500-$3,000 for a basic kit.

I hope I get some points taken off for saying this but.....

DO YOU PEOPLE SMOKE CRACK!!!!!

Keep the B16 Block & boost that ****!

what kind of gains are you expecting from .2 liters
Yes it's a given that the GSR bottom end is stronger and is going to give you more torque but not $1200 worth IMO.

your motor setup should easily make 300WHP with a decent kit.
