To turbo or to swap that is the question?
Hey guys (and gals?), I was wondering what should I do. Just turbo the d16z I already have, or swap a bigger engine and wait for future boost? Also, whouldn't it be cheaper to just drop a turbo and fix my bottom end so that it can handle more boost and so that it be more reliabe then to just swap? Anyways, Thanks ahead.

THis is one of those "do what you want" questions really. Its all about preference and we cant nor shouldnt be deciding that for you. What i can tell you is that i have had boost.....and i now have a B18C-R in my car, boost was fun and faster, but n/a is reliable and still fast as hell!

Whats your goals and hows your money supply?
Turbo D16s are plenty fast and cheap.
If you have a lot of money or want to go super fast then get a B18 and turbo that.
If not get then get the Greddy kit then "Set it and Forget it!"

Yeah I know thats why I was wondering if it is cheaper to just build the D16z to handle the power or go DOHC. Hehehe. Thanks again.

Then I'd say an h22 would be your best bang for the buck, plus takes well to a turbo later. I would only build up a d if your goals can be met easily by adding a turbo, as you will be limiting yourself tremendously.
