Default Supertech Pistons

A customer brought these to my attention at the shop the other day,

JHP has supertech pistons for sale, 390$ I believe.
In the description it stated that they will withstand 45psi.

Anyone have any experience with these in a forced induction application?

I occasionally here people using them with nothing but good success. I have yet to see a "My Supertech Pistons Suck" thread so I'd imagine they are decent. Why not just go with something tried and true? Are you or your friend really counting pennies? If so, a boosted monster may not be for you.

Thanks for your reply man,

If it held up to its claims it seems like it would be a good decently priced piston. I'm assuming its the same co that makes all the nice valve terrain components.

They would be going in a customers piston rod gsr. When it comes down to it, its not my choice. If he brings me these I'll install em. He had just seemed dead set on these and I wanted to see what you all thought about them.

I don't know who or where you looked for supertech pistons but I paid $375 shipped for bnib supertech pistons with rings from a company, not an individual.

Ron @ RAW1 uses these in his 6cyl subaru builds and they seem to do pretty good. There have been several 800-1000whp 6cyl motors with supertech pistons. I say if the price is right...go for it.

not the best pistons but will work for sub 500hp an if the block isn't sleaved these would go along well with everything else (hp limits)

I'm using Supertech pistons in my 84mm GSR motor. The motor has seen up to 32psi and I've had zero issues with them. For the price new, they are hard to beat. I'll be using them in a project LS motor as well.

I've heard a few respected builders say good things about Supertech Pistons. I'm looking into some for my JRSC + N2O build.
