Hi,

DOes anyone know if I should modify anything else for best results after getting a supercharger added on to my stock 2000 Integra LS? Thanks.

Do yourself a favor and do what the 2 choices you see have placed and get a turbo. As long as its installed and tuned correctly along with normal maintenence it should be just as reliable and alot more bang for buck due to the fact the LS chargers utilize the M45 roots charger which is what a civic ex use...You really wouldn't be pleased after you got used to the increase and I am talking about a weeks time maybe. Only car I have ever seen worth doing an SC is a gsr, thats about it. Good luck dude, do your research and ask others and you will get the same response even from guys who have a supercharged GSR would reccomend you go turbo with an LS. Peace

Yeh, he's right. I have a JRSCed GSR and I wouldn't recommend SCing the LS motor. Go turbo.

I love my SCed GSR motor, but the gain on an LS is just not worth the $.

Case in point, my last trip to Moroso about a month or so ago, there was a green 6G Civic EX coupe w/ JRSC, header, intake, full exahust and what looked like an MSD ignition. Anyways, this guy's 1/4 mile times... 16.3, 15.9! This is on at least 6psi and on Si stocks, me on the otherhand, I was suffering a phantom boost leak, yet even on a mere 3psi I cranked out a 15.5 and a 15.6 back to back. Granted S. Florida 1/4 mile times are typically a couple tenths slower than elsewhere, but none the less, those JRSC's suck! (at least for Civic's and apparently B18B's). Do yourself a favor, go Turbo!

I have a supercharger on my LS and I have not been dissapointed. I have an automatic transmission and I manage to get a 15.5 in crappy conditions. The JRSC is a good bet if you want reliable, street legal power. There are obvioulsy positive and negatives aspects of both setups. You might want to look in to the new Greddy 50 state legal kit coming soon for your LS. Good Luck

Well it sure sounds personal! Now you ruined my day. But really, my point was that I have an automatic and it was crappy conditions. Not to say that i wouldnt be happy to get better times. I just wanted to stick up for the JRSC LS camp. Most LS JRSC'ed manuals can run mid fourteens with ease. It's all about where your priorities are.

thats very true.. but the neon is using auto tranny and nos on turbo its kinda kewl to see a auto do some drag racing.

I dunno... I actually think it's pretty depressing to see automatics in any kind of racing. Closest thing to an automatic I could tolerate is the transmission on the Ferrari 360 F1.

Which reminds me... I found out last night that my car is no match for a 550 Maranello especially when I'm leaking boost and topping out at 4 psi.

Not that it's a big surprise or anything... was just fun to see for sure.

Lots of people go through the trouble of swapping in an LS engine just because, the low CR is beneficial when runnin' a turbo. You on the other hand already have what a lot of others wish they had...a B18B. Do yourself a favor and get a good kit and some Dyno time. You'll be smokin' anything with a JRSC, and probably be alot happier with the results. Just remember to get some tunning, and take care of your oil. Good luck

the JRSC for the LS is pretty pathetic. At 6psi w/ intake/header/exhaust, I've seen it push about 160hp to the wheels. A highly upgraded LS with cams, higher compression, Hondata, etc etc etc, pushes 190whp. I'd do what both of these guys said they should have done "go turbo"
