I was just wondering about superchargers...is it true you have to let the engine idle for 5 mins. each time so that the bearings can continue spinning and not wear out the fan? On older models I know they have to, but on newer ones, are the mechanics the same?

 

Not that I have ever heard of. A friend of mine has an SC'ed Bonnieville from 96 and there is no kind of timer or anything like that, 86k miles, 5k of them modded, and shes still running strong.
