Default Supercharged B18C-R help

Hello everybody! Just a quick question....I have a JRSC B18C-R with stock bottom end and supertech valves/springs/retainers. I am currently making 250-260whp. My plan is to get the LHT aftercooler and make my own heat exchanger along with getting a 3-angle valve job and having my head port matched. I have a Phearable.net chipped P28 with Hondata. My question is will my stock bottom end handle 300-320whp or will I have to upgrade my internals? I heard they were good to 400hp, but I want some professional opinions. Thanks!

It's all in the tune. Some engines will blow up making 150whp. Some last at over 400whp.

You won't make over 300whp with a jrsc.
Maybe on Church's dyno...

i think the lht was cool but a waist of money! i think i pretty much made as much hp as you can with a itr motor and lht jrsc, a port would of gave me 1 or 2 more hp probally.

You don't think I can hit 300whp? It was dynoed in Alabama in the middle of the summer on 91 octane and got 251whp. I live in colder weather now and I use 94 octane and I use royal purple so I figure 260whp is a safe assumption. I still have the FMU also, After the LHT kit I should be about 280whp. Then I'm getting a thicker head gasket to handle a little more boost, getting rid of the FMU and getting stand alone, 3-angle, and everything port matched. After all that I'm getting dyno tuned. You don't think I can hit 300whp with 14psi? All the guys at my shop say it will be easy to get 300whp, but 320whp might take some work. You made 285whp at 12psi with less headwork.

You might! im not gonna say you wont! try some diffrent cam combo's! i had the sk2 pro 1's on a high comp gsr @6psi i think they would work better with more boost and less comp. of course the gsr in and itr ex is proven and was used on my last setup that hit 280hp @12psi i had plenty of room for more boost and fuel but we kept it at that! i had it at 18.5 psi on the first few dyno pulls! it wasnt even pinging or detonating but since i had a stock block and 440cc injectors it wasnt safe at that psi level! it hit 200hp at just 5psi so you can get those numbers i would think with your setup! i had no port work so im sure it will open up a few hp! ported heads are where most power is made! very important, i would stay away from a thick head gasket! dont do it! use a oem head gasket! sleave the block to boost more and safley! those thick head gaskets never seal right! run a 3'' ex and mix some methanal or nos to cool the temps further than what the lht will do! you can easily hit 300whp use a 68mm tb and a '' intake arm i like the AEM ITR cai! a 3'' short ram with a velocity stack will free some power too! not much but it makes a difrence, on the dyno the 3'' short ram and velocity stack freed up about 1-2hp. run no cat! use 550 or biger injectors.

Ok I just got back from the shop and here is the plan: Sleeved block, Eagle H beams, Wiseco pistons, ARP bolts on everything, Cometic .03 head gasket, head ported/polished/3 angle/port matched, LHT kit with the 68mm matched throttle body, 14psi pulley. I have RC 750 injectors already and a Phearable.net chipped P28 with HONDATA S300. I plan on having the block bored to 85-86mm and my compression ratio at around 10.5. Sound good?

Hey I'm not sure how late I am but you could use some better cams if u plan to spend all that money! Try the Brian crower stg 2 turbo cams as Ive seen quite a few ppl use them and make good power with them.

I personally wouldn't bore to 85 or 86 stick with 84mm and have room for error if you go 85 and mess up there can't rebore much and with 84 mm you can use an OEM gasket. I would stick OEM gasket don't like the Cometic had one and blew my head gasket. Switching to OEM right now.

Working on a very similar set up to yours 84mm sleeved block 10.5 comp ration with LHT JRSC. Still being built now hope it will be done in a month or two.
