So I bought this battery box off of summit to free up some room in the engine bay. But i can't figure out how the hell the h-bar and jbolts work. This is the only way i can see it working but it looks messed up

Are these little black metal things supposed to go there??


And is this where the jbolts attach?


Screw you summit and your big *** box with the worst instructions ever.

 

Those black pieces are new, they were never on the old bracket. The bracket won't last that long because how thin it is. I usually stick the J bolts inside the red piece, but it sucks tightening them down. Since then I made a battery hold down.

If I have some free time, I could make you one for free, just a simple thick piece of metal with two holes drilled into it.

 

I just cut notches out of the box and bolted the j-bolts down to the red battery hold down and closed the lid. And yes, worst instructions ever.
