Default summertime heat and turbo performance????

does the summertime heat affect your set-up? i'm not sure if this is my problem but sometimes my car feels like it just perfoms better sometimes....i just want to get some feedback from people here......sometimes if i'm boosting at 5psi it doesn't always feel as fast......but the boost guage still reads 5psi

The heat isn't good for it, but, humidity is worse. There's a better chance of overheating when its really hot and humid.

yeah, if you live in hot hot climates, i would recommend an aquamist kit just to cool things down in the engine. a trip out to palm springs during the summer made me wanna order up a kit for my car! (it was suffering from detonation and performance sucked *** but i have no overheating problems) my friends turbo cars cant even drive during the day or else they'll overheat.

Yeah i baby my car during the day, but at night its a different story. Its so hot down here right now too, i hate summer in a turbo car. I havent had any overheating probs this summer and i do alot of driving. I have the Fal fans i guess those bad boys really help out

Word, I drove my car to the beach a few week-ends a go. I was 100 degree on the way down and like still 85 and humid as hell @ 2:00 in the morning. Needless to say I didn't to much racing. Hell I didn't even enjoy driving the thing it that kind of weather. I agree that when the heat and humidty go up our cars feel like they lose a good bit.

my car feels a little slower during the day... but I never have detonation or overheating problems even with the 100% humidity and 95+ degree days here in jersey a few times a week....

good information guys
How about an Oil cooler kit for these temps? Or does that depend on how much you boost?
