Do you still drive your Turbo Car when its freezing out>>
just wondering if everyone still drives there highly modified turbo cars when its freezing out.
im not talking about guys with stock cars and a kit.
i live in ohio and its like 15 out. i miss my boost already...
i dont even have a heater in mine anymore, but im tempted to hook it back up just to drive it around when the roads are clear.

gonna take mine to work tomorrow. forcast temp at 7am when i leave is about 5 above. we'll see how it goes, im gonna let it run for a solid 10-15 min b4 i drive it. forged piston and rod ls/vtec turbo btw

Yes...but it gets washed <U>everytime</U> I take it out of the driveway no matter the distance I go. Gets to be annoying, but it keeps the salt and stuff off of it haha

Me too if the roads are dry. HOwever, summer tires, boost, and salty cold roads, equals no traction in third. But yeah, i couldn't make it, i don't think it'll be back out again though, gotta love lake effect...

I'm in Michigan...
Car goes in the garage Nov 1st...doesn't see the road until at least April. I hate to think about all the salt and stuff getting onto it. The major concern is sliding into something and insurance not replacing anything aftermarket. Don't know exactly how it works, but I have the feeling I'd get screwed.
Oh...and it usually doesn't run until april anyways. I like to take things apart in the winter and procrastinate until it's warm out.

i keep mine on the road. either to drive on the weekends or sometimes there is a week with decent winter temps like around 40 degrees. i fiend for boost too much to not have it on the road

I am 20, can't afford two cars. I drive my beater/daily driver turboed civic in 0 degree weather and through snow and crap all winter here in New England. It's a honda, and it's a D motor, I'm not too worried.

I'm trying to find ways to procrastinate my SC and still have time to buy new rims for the spring. That's all I need... SCed in the middle of winter.

If I don't drive my honda and acura all winter, what other piece of **** would I drive? My wife already drives the S4 in the winter since she likes "her comforts", so it would be a little stupid if I didn't drive a HONDA in the snow.
I drive my cars <U>into the ground</U>, I hit my rev limiter at least 2-3 times every drive, I take every off-ramp at 9/10s, EVERYTIME - I f'ing love it. I'm even worse on my bike...I know it's hard on everything, but I really enjoy it, and that's why I don't buy myself anything expensive.
I drive it in snow, salt, whatever. I wash when I fill gas, generally 1-2 times a week. If either rusts out to the point I can't look at it, I figure I can always get a new shell and throw all the expensive parts in there. But more than likely, I'll probably sell everything and start a 1.8T GT30R A4 Avant project, I've always wanted 400 awhp I can drive year-round.
Seriously, how long does everyone expect to be driving their cars? I'll be happy if my H22 block will last 2 years of boost, the way I drive.

A person who can afford a lambo prob has 1% of their income invested into the car. For me, I have a much higher percentage of my life and income invested into my car so its very important to me. I dont want some ******* who cant drive in the snow sliding into the back of my car. Plus salt loves to eat metal.

Ive been driving mine in the snow including that 10 inches we got thurs. Those BFG KDW dont like snow and even when it is sunny and dry there is no traction so I really cant enjoy it. It got put away today though I just bought a beater. 93 altima-300 bucks, 170,000 from a friend. runs like a champ (knocks on wood)

We all have different priorities
my opinion:
the car that i put money into isnt my nice car, and its my hobby, and yes, i drive it boosted in the snow. its just a car, my life wont be over if someone hits it, or i slam it into a snowbank e-brake drifting.
why have a car and only drive it during motorcycle weather ?

ya we drive hondas more reason not to drive it in the snow, got to love the rust holes in a couple of years. I have not driven mine in a couple of weeks. Getting it ready to drive it down to Florida
