stripped headstud threads
hey i wanted to use the AEBS headstuds, but when i pulled out one of the headbolts, there was aluminum stuck to it
i have been looking around and the design of the AEBS headstud is that it has to bottom out on the block.
i cannot find any thread repair kits that will let it bottom out on the block so that it can work..
will i be able to use the AEBs studs or do i have to use the ARP or even worse headbolts again
help me out please

either way youll need to fix the threads. you can use timeserts or some people have used helicoils. man i feel bad for you, i am dreading the day something like that happens to me. good luck

how much was on it? if it wasent much i'd say it was just some extra shavings left from the machining of the motor. I dont really know your setup or how many times it's been apart but if it's your first time cracking the head off i wouldent be too worried, but i'd still get a machine shop to check it out for ya. good luck
the problem was that nobody who helped me assemble the motor informed me that the b16 headbolts are shorter than the gsr ones.
unfortunatly, my friend is in the samre boat, but with 3 holes stripped out becasue they used b16 headbolts as well....
all i really wanna know is wether ill be able to use arp or aebs headstuds with a timesert or heli coil
