Yes....Stock honda rods are strong, its all in the tuning against detonation. I have seen stock ls rods take in excess of 9200 rpm on a regular basis. The main problem is in the stock rod bolts.

you have to notch the bottom of the cylinders and the main cap girdle when using eagle rods on a d series engine only

NO I don't drive a 9 second car. If you even THOUGHT that, could you pass me the crack your smoking, I need it so I can stop coughing and get some sleep... Bronchitis has a hold on me

Anyway, I know Alan from eagle personally, He's the main import sales/research person there for the import world... Hell, he's the guy who came up with the ideas for my car, and designed and intstalled my turbo/intercooler setup plus he's one of my best friends.

Anyway, he's contacted a few engine manufacturers, and they have told him that Eagle's rods are not failing in engines that have repeatedly broken Crower rods...

But that is all priviledged information
