Default The straw that broke the camels back...

Well after almost a year of being boosted it is time for me to say good bye. I was one of the 4 cars that was suppost be dyno'd in Dallas this pas Wed. Unfortunatley, after Art was just about done with the injector swap and resistor box install, I began to hook up my hondata which has been sitting in my room since Feb. ONE ******* HARNESS DID NOT FIT. Turns out I have a harness for a 2k civic which to my understanding is a type 2.

I am fed up with turbos. This 5 hours trip I made was for nothing. Like John said, "It's the little things that **** ya." Too many little things has taken a toll on me. Once I find an exhaust manifold my turbo, hondata and accesories will be up for sale, so keep an eye out. I will post the FS thread in here first for all you turbo freaks.

Well it was fun when it worked properly, other than that...it sucked *****...

Again keep an eye out for the FS thread...

see ya,
turbocoupe.

Marc, I'm reallysorry to hear this. Believe me I understand how ya feel. If I wasn't so deep into this I'd get out as well. Well, there's always my honda to play around with if you got the itch. Talk to ya later.

I think it was a tough weekend for all of us. If you didnt notice I was kinda upset that nothing was going right for us. I was so tired and i wanted to get into bed, but my friends are important to me and I needed to get you home.

Yea Art I think we were all a bit tired after Wed. I know for a fact Jeff (bruthaboost) was in pain. We had to stop in Austin at a Taco Cabana and sleep for a bit. Both of us were getting dilusional.

I was talking all kinds of ca-ca at Speedworks on Wed. about quitting. Then I went ahead and bought the resistor box from Art, leaving a glimmer of hope that I would stick with it. I blew $200 was on the road for 12 hours that day to watch other people dyno. It would of cost me more but with cool friends like art and chris they let me slide.

After thinking it over, it's just costing me too much money. I was so close to being out of debt a year ago, now I'm worse off then what I was. I'm will still try to make it to meets, but just as coupe, not turbocoupe...

Yo Chris...let me know the next time you guys meet up. I wouldn't mind meeting you and Art the other guys sometime. If you can't find me here on the boards then the guys at VSV will know where to find me.

boooohooooo
don't give up. its worth the aggravation!
ask "leon" aka chad, what happened when he drove 3 hrs to my house to tune his car and HE got the wrong harness....
I spent 6hrs taking it apart and rewired it for the correct pattern for the typeA harness he needed.

anyway, in the end, it all works out if you are patient enough.

I was also one of the cars that was suppost be dyno'd in Dallas on wednesday, but i could not get my car up and running either. I could not get the manifold to bolt on to the block. I wanted to give up also, because i spent extra money to send stuff down here to meet the deadline, i missed the deadline and i still cant figure out how to install the greddy manifold. the drag3 manifold was so much easier.
If i had know i would have let you borrow my wire harness so that you could get your dyno in, since i was not using it. i dont think you should give up, i am staying in, eventhough i have had my thoughts of quitting.

Thanks for the offer on the wire harness. If you SI is a 99 it would have worked, if it's a 2000 it wouldn't have worked....The harness I have is for an SI.

Yeah i am also near debt to, i spent so much money trying to get ready for the meet, and kept telling myself that it was going to be worth it. I am down to pennies, and waiting for my next paycheck. Yeah thanks to Art and everybody for understanding and not putting me in further debt. It has been a long couple of days and i have not been productive at work because i spent the nights working on my car.
