Default STR Scatter Shield???????

I bought this str scatter shield used and this what I got. Does this seems right one for B series. I never seen a scatter shield uninstalled before. Thanks in advance

Unfortunately I cant just bolt it yet, I should have my motor on monday. Then I'l find out if it fits. Thanks

Oh damm, was the guy okay?

When I was looking for a scatter shield. I looked at the STR one because it was cheaper then GE, but I could have sworn it wasn't approved.

Franky, I think there was a thread about both GE and STR was ok for NHRA. I think the only requirement is that they are a minimum of1/4" thick steel plate. NHRA knows there is not a commercially available sheild so its ok to run either one. But there is a blanket that is SFI approved, and lighter and its made by Diest.

I think in the old rules it wasnt very clear so that is probably why you were thinking they were not approved. You had a valid reason to think it wasnt approved.

I bought this for Stephanie Eggum for $90 shipped and they told me it was in good condition and this is what I got.

Whats the weight on something like that, and at what trap/et is one required? or is the rule different depending on your class. . .sfwd for say.

It weights around 7lbs. I think its required for 11.99 and faster. I'm setting the car up for swfd but mostly for fun. I cant travel to most events so I'l probably have fun with it in the local tracks. Thanks everyone
