Default Stock sleeves with forged pistons? STD bore or .20 over?

I'm bout to order some CP pistons and am gonna put them in my LS. I'm just wondering would it make a difference if I just bought the std bore size and just have the cylinders honed or would it be best to buy .20 over and have it bored out?

That's really up to the machine shop in determining if your block is good and doesn't need a bore out?? Are there any scratches, scaring? If not, then a good ole honing and std. size pistons /rings will be alright.

just get 20 over. The machine shop will charge u the same amont to hone it over 5 thou and 20 thou, so just play it safe with the 20's so you KNOW your cylidners are perfectly round all the way down. If you are gonna tear your block apart, do it right, especially when the alternative isnt any cheaper.

i run 20 lbs of boost on my 60-1 with 94 octane almost every day, the sleeved motor has been waiting for the stock sleeves to crack for it to go in, and they just wont crack... mind you 10.8:1 and extremely conservative timing, but its 20 lbs on a 60-1, at 20 over.

.20 over with what pistons are you using? And how long have you been boosting with that setup?

lert me clarify.. not 10.8:1 compression, 10.8:1 air/fuel. I keep it rich as hell cuase i really dont care if i wash out the rings on this motor, or if i could make 60 more whp. Ill just run is super fat and let it live.

the motor has been in the car for 2 years but only has a total of about 6 motnhs driving on it, but it has had a hard 6 months. Im in virginia right now i just drove 6 1/2 hours yesterday on it, and last week i drove 7 hours back and forth to PA, so its pretty reliable.

JE pistons btw
