Stock PCV system
sup guys. i lurked around in the catch can search threads for a while, but still didnt find an answer to my question. if i was to run a catch can that breathed from the valve cover only, with a manual drain valve (not a drain-back) can i still keep my stock PCV system hooked up, or will it be wise to remove it and block plug it? wanted to know cuz the black box is a bitch to get to with the motor in. TIA.

what would be the point of hooking up a catch can from the breather port on the vc? A good running motor won't have any oil coming out of that hole anyway.
And to answer your question, yes, you can keep you pcv system intact

it wont be the breather port on the valve cover, it will be from two welded npt ports on the front of the valve cover like everybody elses:

Next time your valve cover is off, check out the holes that go all the way to the crankcase. Running a catch can off the valve cover is a great idea.
You can keep the stock PCV hooked up but I would just opt to remove it entirely and run ports off the back of the block. Just pull off the intake manifold and you will have plenty of room to work.
