stock internals ok for turbo???
is it ok to run a turbo with stock internals?
i have a d16y8 and i heard its ok to drop a turbo in cuz the compression is low enough. just not to take it to 10 psi.
is this true? or will i need upgraded internals?

Upgraded. i.e. forged internals are like insurance. Don't you want insurance?
To answer your question, yes. But stock internals have their limits. I would search for them before I get boosting.
Another thing...10psi, 30psi. It's not the pressure that breaks things. It's the power. 10psi on your turbo is probably alot different than 10psi on mine.

what are forged internals?
like new pistons cam, cam gears etc??
and is there a way to know when its going to be too much power so i wont blow my engine?

Forged internals are just that. Forged pistons and rods.
Tell you what, my friend. Go to the red button up top that says search, and type in d16 turbo. Start reading, it's a good bit of information you can learn on here.

Man U FTW
With a stock internal D series, you can safely make 220-240whp with a good tune. Anything more than that and you'll want to consider upgrading your internals...

You need to sit back and listen to what these guys are telling you. Also, use the giant red search button before posting, thanks.

you will want more than 220 eventually so just build it now and you'll never have to take it apart again. spend the money now so you don't have to spend more later.
